The Ladies Foundation flagship fellowship program offers a transformative journey in the beauty industry and foster integration and success in the new communities for black and immigrant women.
Training and hands-on mentorship
Our unique hairdressing training for survivors offers a path to financial independence and personal empowerment. Through hands-on experience and mentorship, we help women build confidence, skills and supportive network.
Once accepted to the program, the participants (fellows) will:
- Learn hairstyling, cutting, coloring, and care techniques;
- Earn income while training in our salons and partner locations;
- Gain business skills for future entrepreneurship;
- Receive a recognized hair care certificate upon completion.
Wrap-round services
- Transportation assistance;
- Childcare services;
- Mental health resources;
- Financing options for equipment and working capital.
Annual conference
Our annual conference provides a valuable opportunity for our graduates, the immigrant community, and industry partners to connect, address challenges, learn from one another, and explore exciting collaboration opportunities.
